With the latest updates to Windows 11 comes a new enforcement that no longer allows the type of signature that was applied to the Superpro device driver.
This can be reversed via one of the following options:-
If your PC has the July 2026 update on, an administrator can turn off the policy without changing Secure Boot settings:
- Right-click Start, and then select Terminal (Admin).
- Run the following command: – CiTool.exe –remove-policy “{8F9CB695-5D48-48D6-A329-7202B44607E3}”
- Restart your PC
If you don’t have the July 2026 update on, then it’s a little more complex.
- Restart your PC and go into the BIOS and disable “Secure Boot”
- Save changes and boot your PC
- Right-click Start, and then select Terminal (Admin).
- mountvol X: /s (if you have a drive X, change this to an unused letter)
- Remove-Item “X:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\CiPolicies\Active{8F9CB695-5D48-48D6-A329-7202B44607E3}.cip” -Force
- Remove-Item “$env:windir\System32\CodeIntegrity\CiPolicies\Active{8F9CB695-5D48-48D6-A329-7202B44607E3}.cip” -Force (this one gave an error on my machine, if so ignore)
- mountvol X: /d
- Reboot your PC and go into the BIOS and re-enable “Secure Boot”
- Save changes and boot your PC
The second option worked for my PC so I obviously did not have the relevant July 2026 update installed!
