Only 6 years after I saw the USB-DVG and decided I must have one, I have finally sorted the Asteroids cabinet out and made a wiring loom to connect the USB-DVG directly to the PCB connector (so you can still plug an original PCB in and that also works). I also fitted some new buttons and gave everything a clean and touch up.
It only plays games that work with the normal Asteroids button layout, but that includes Rip Off, one of my favourite vector games from back in the day.
I also took the opportunity to fit the MiSTer conversion to my Crazy Climber cabinet, so that can now switch between Crazy Climber and Crazy Climber 2 (and I may attempt to sort out a core for Firetrap so I can add that as well)
